The PTA Classic Wiki is a wiki about PTA Subway: PCS Classic, a game on the gaming and game creation platform Roblox. Currently it is on SkyWiki, and was formerly on Miraheze and Wikidot.

History[edit | edit source]

The wiki was formed around 2021 after it split from the the old Potato Transit Authority Wiki, with it being moved to there in February 2022. The reason for its formation was because pages on stations of the PTA Subway kept being changed to the current version, and the creator was dissatisfied with it. The wiki was hosted on Miraheze, set to private, and the pages that were not changed were sent to the website.

On 16 November 2022, the PTA Classic Wiki was one of the wikis affected by a database outage in Miraheze.

In late 2022, due to the classic version of the game not reopening, the Miraheze version of the wiki was left inactive, and closed around late 2023 as a result. In summer of 2023, the wiki was fully deleted from Miraheze.

The creator planned to revive the wiki on ShoutWiki, when its wiki creation wizard goes active again. However, because of it not being reopened yet, he decided to put it on Wikidot first.

On May 13, 2024, the wiki was revived on Wikidot as part of the Anti-Bathwick and Somerset Alliance, a collection of wikis that also includes the Ostarland Wiki, British Rail Southern Region Wiki, and MTA Bus Wiki, and under new ownership. As the original wiki and the old Potato Transit Authority Wiki were mostly not archived, the pages on the new wiki had to be created from scratch.

On September 26, 2024 the wiki was moved from Wikidot to the Miraheze Scratchpad.

In October 2024 it was planned to move the PTA Classic Wiki to a self-hosted wiki at x10hosting. After a few mishaps in setting up the wiki, Alexrules14 abandoned the idea and announced on October 22, 2024 that it would be on Fandom instead. A year was set for the wiki's move, in 2026. On November 8, 2024 the wiki finally found a new host, which was SkyWiki, and decided to move there instead of Fandom.
